SHIATSU MENU

Shiatsu provides techniques ranging from deep bodywork, exercises, and visualizations to taking
the client to the point of meditation where the mind disappears.
Explaining each modality in detail is almost impossible because each adapts to the client and the results.
They will always be different. Minding each one can limit the extent of its effects and benefits.
The duration and price of each session also vary according to the modality and needs of the client.

ZEN SHIATSU

There are different aspects of Shiatsu. Zen Shiatsu, developed by Master Shizuto Masunaga, is characterized by the meditative state of the therapist, who maintains a relaxed position, allowing him to use his weight and "sink" in depth instead of pressing or almost crashing the client. This penetration is perpendicular, enabling quick access to the meridian's energy. The therapist maintains the connectivity of his hands on the client's body, one is active, and the other "listen." The Hara or abdominal area and the back are evaluated by looking for the "Kyo/Jitsu" areas (lack/excess), and work is done by stimulating or calming the specific function of each meridian. These energy excesses or deficiencies can manifest as conditions from musculoskeletal pain, stress symptoms, spasms, uncontrolled emotions, insomnia, etc.

Zen Shiatsu responds to traditional Chinese medicine's meridians and the extensions designated by the master Shizuto Masunaga.

Its purpose is to balance these areas of excess or lack of energy in the body using various types of pressure, depth, the rhythm of touch, or resonance. During the evaluation and throughout the session, the therapist identifies the energy situation of the meridians, which have a specific function that manifests in our four bodies: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

The person is fully clothed; there is no need for creams or oils. The body is treated from head to toe. On occasions, only local work is needed.
Traditionally it is applied on a futon on the floor, but it can be applied on a stretcher or in a chair for people with mobility restrictions.

SOTAI HO

It is a technique of Japanese origin. Neurosurgeon Keizo Hashimoto created it.

It is based on the knowledge of Traditional Chinese and Japanese Medicine, combined with studies and experiences of Western Medicine, to improve muscle and joint synchronization. The literal translation of Sotai Ho is as follows: So means to fix, Tai, body, and Ho, method. From there, it is easy to deduce its definition, a form of postural re-education that seeks the balance of the body through the combination of specific movements and abdominal breathing exercises. This therapy allows, through muscle relaxation, to increase the fluidity of joint motion, balance the bone structure and recover its correct alignment.During a Sotai Ho session, the client's participation is fully active.

GUA SHA

For the application of this technique, an instrument called GUA-SHA PAN is used. First, the skin's surface is rubbed, in a single direction in the area chosen for the therapy, having previously lubricated it with cream or oil. This "scraping" technique stimulates the circulation of stagnant blood, fluids, and spasms to the surface, creating an effect known as "petanque" (reddening of the skin), which can take 2 or 3 days to dissipate. In addition, the GuaSha has the particularity of providing heat if the area of ??the body is cold or cooling if it is overheated.

The peasants of China have used it for more than 2000 years. This procedure saved them from the plague and flu.

CUPPING - VENTOSAS

It is an ancient form (3600 BC) in which a partial vacuum is created through cups placed on the skin, either by heat or suction. This vacuum dissipates the stagnation of blood and fluids, thus improving the flow of Qi.
It treats respiratory diseases like the common cold, pneumonia, and bronchitis. Cupping is also used practically all over the body for disorders of the locomotor system.

Cupping is not recommended on skin ulcers or for pregnant women abdominal or sacral regions.

It can leave temporary bruised marks on the skin.

PAR BIOMAGNÉTICO

The Biomagnetic Pair is a non-invasive integrative technique discovered by the Mexican scientist Dr. Isaac Goiz Durán in the 80s, which consists of the positioning of pairs of magnets on the body to facilitate the process of maintaining or restoring internal balance in the body. It can be used before (prevention), during (treatment), or after (rehabilitation) a disease, without altering prescriptions or medical interventions. There are some exceptions.

The dysfunctional bioelectric charges found in resonance are related to different pathologies, dysfunctions, or specific symptoms. They are formed at the expense of the bioelectrical and pH alteration of the tissues, organs, or anatomical structures that support them in the organism. It is possible to neutralize these charges by directly applying magnetic fields. This last process is called depolarization.

The Biomagnetic Pair technique tracks different and specific points in the body through a kinesiological test to find dysfunctions, blockages, or imbalances and correct them by applying magnetic fields to the body for a short period.

MAKKO-HOs

The Makko-Ho's are a series of exercises and visualizations partly derived from yoga to connect to the meridians' energy and let it flow freely. The client learns to recognize the restricted areas in the body and how to access them through the MAKKO-HOs. The state of health and well-being of the body can be effortlessly improved using breath. There are variations for people with physical restrictions.

DO-IN

Self-activation postures stimulate circulation and body systems. It Awakens body awareness, relaxes tensions, and clears the mind.

BREATHING EXCERCISES

Different breathing practices lead to meditation. At the same time that it learns to oxygenate the body properly, the mind melts into the heart, opening the way to the manifestation of our spiritual consciousness.

RECOMENDATIONS

You should consult your primary care physician before beginning any therapy or exercise program.
